¶ Who Are We?
The Beowulf Arms is a community of players who have come together to share their interests in gaming and other hobbies. With the roots of the group formed around the Arma franchise, we've since adjusted to become a wider encompassing community.
Our vision is that of a classic British community pub, but with a modern and global-reaching community twist. A central place for the community members to come together as friends in a safe environment to socialise and enjoy themselves.
Whether your interests are solely in Arma, or in many areas such as DCS and other flight sims, tabletop wargaming, D&D, or “the game of the week”. We aim for The Beowulf Arms to be a warm and welcoming place to pull up a bar stool, and get involved!

You're an Arma community, right?
We are! Our core membership comes from a legacy Arma-focused community. Arma remains one of the pillars of The Beowulf Arms, with a focus on weekly Arma sessions.
We operate our own Arma 3 preset, which is carefully curated to create our own brand of “Tactical Realism”. Including such mods as ACRE, ACE, RHS, 3CB Factions, and others. We also create our own mods for internal use such as modifications to the AI behaviours, and the terrifying insurgent-operated rocket-launched artillery system we call “Project Rokit”! An ever-growing group of mission makers allow for varied experiences between session missions making use of our homegrown Beowulf Mission Framework.
The focus will always be on an enjoyable experience for all of our players. Various roles are available in-game during pre-mission slotting, and for special events, we do operate signup sheets. However, if you're only interested in doing one role such as being a pilot. This is not the community for you… We all have to be the lowly rifleman sometimes!
But if you're looking for an Arma group where you can be fighting on the front lines of the cold war gone hot one mission, to providing air support from the skies over Takistan in the modern world the next, or leading an insurgent attack on a CSAT base in another. This might be the Arma group for you!

We're an open and welcoming community that extends the invitation to anyone willing. We do however operate a mature community with an age limit of at least 18+ and insist that all members show a level of maturity expected of an adult. Most of us are old and have no time for the immature and time wasters!
